Macao Traditional Chinese Attire Cultural Festival

🏮 This summer, Rua da Felicidade will be transformed into Chang’an during the glorious Tang Dynasty!

Put on Tang-style Hanfu and journey back a thousand years to experience the splendour of ancient China!

The Macao Traditional Chinese Attire Cultural Festival will take place at Rua da Felicidade from 8 to 15 August 2026. Centred around the clothing and culture of the Tang Dynasty, the eight-day festival invites residents and visitors to dress in elegant Tang-style attire and immerse themselves in the unique charm of traditional Chinese culture.

The festival will feature a Hanfu parade, Dunhuang Flying Apsaras dance performances, traditional Chinese instrumental music, shadow puppetry, and sharing sessions on the art of Chinese incense. Visitors can also explore a Chinese-style cultural and creative market, enjoy specialty food, and take part in a wide range of cultural activities, including movable-type printing, scented sachet making, Huafu-themed postcard stamping, shadow-puppet experiences, and mochi-making workshops.
