The Macau Contemporary Puppet Festival

The Macau Contemporary Puppet Festival is Macau’s first international festival dedicated to contemporary puppetry, object theatre, and interdisciplinary performance. The main programme will take place on 31 October 2026 at the Former Iec Long Firecracker Factory Site in Taipa, Macau.
Featuring professional companies and local creators from the Greater Bay Area, Taiwan Area, France, Spain, and beyond, the festival presents black box theatre, outdoor performances, workshops, exhibition, an arts market, and a Halloween puppet parade.
(As the festival takes place on Halloween, audiences are warmly encouraged to join in cosplay. The Puppet Festival welcomes audiences of all ages. Please avoid overly revealing costumes or outfits featuring excessively bloody or frightening elements.)
