Galaxy Entertainment Group Shipbuilding Culture Ambassador Programme – Traditional Shipbuilding Class [Advanced Class]

GEG has invited specially shipbuilding masters who once worked at the Lai Chi Vun Shipyards to deliver an on-site demonstration in this summer. From selecting materials and taking measurements to hands-on craftsmanship, audiences can closely witness how traditional skills take shape stroke by stroke, and appreciate the dedication and perseverance behind true artistry.

Alongside the demonstration, the “Galaxy Entertainment Group Shipbuilding Culture Ambassador Programme – Traditional Shipbuilding Class [Advanced Class]” is also being held, carrying forward the master’s spirit by transforming learning into sharing. Under the guidance of experienced shipbuilding masters, participants will craft a full-size traditional wooden boat model, experiencing the entire shipbuilding process from start to finish. Through this immersive journey, participants can deepen their understanding of Lai Chi Vun’s craftsmanship and community stories, while preserving an important chapter of Macau’s shipbuilding memories.

✨In addition, from now until September 6, every Tuesday to Saturday, the master shipbuilders will present live demonstrations of traditional shipbuilding techniques at the Lai Chi Vun Shipyards. Visitors can witness the artistry behind the creation of wooden vessels.
