From Inside Out: The Appearance of Tea Exhibition
Navy Yard No.2, 1F & 2F, Barra District Macau

Tea design has long been shaped by market trends and traditional practices, resulting in increasingly homogenized expressions. This exhibition takes between “inside” and “outside” as its guiding thread, exploring how tea evolves from “object” to “expression” across the levels of packaging, branding, and communication, responding to multidimensional shifts in style, audience, space, and time.
Bringing together 35 designers from Macao and mainland China, representing over 15 cities, the exhibition features more than 40 tea brand projects. It seeks to challenge the stereotypical perception of tea as old-fashioned and overly complicated, adopting minimalism, sustainability, and sensory experience as its key concepts. The exhibition examines how tea can serve as a medium for modern audiences to “slow down.” More than a specimen-based observation, it is an effort to explore the possibilities of tea within contemporary design, beyond the confines of established conventions.
