To enhance the transparency of information regarding district development and to facilitate access to such information for the public and stakeholders, the District Development Center of the General Union of Neighbourhood Associations of Macau has now launched social media accounts on platforms such as Xiaohongshu and Instagram , as well as an official website (ddcmacao.com). These platforms are currently in a trial phase, and a centralised mechanism for disseminating district information is being progressively established.<\/p>\n\n

The official website will serve as the primary platform for external communications, gradually integrating information on district resources, event details, partnership updates and progress reports. It will complement social media channels to enhance transparency and ease of access to information, thereby further improving the dissemination of external information and public enquiries.<\/p>\n\n

In terms of social media, the Center aims to establish a unified community brand image by integrating local businesses, local stories and neighbourhood experiences to create a distinctive brand identity for the district. At the same time, through content planning, it seeks to generate a \u2018destination effect\u2019, showcasing the district\u2019s unique characteristics through guides and highlight campaigns to attract a more targeted audience and help foster a vibrant community shopping atmosphere. Operating as a non-profit platform, the Center also provides consistent support for content creation and promotion, fostering resource integration and symbiotic development.<\/p>\n\n

Currently, views on the IG platform have exceeded 100,000 in its first week of operation, reflecting a significant level of public interest in district information and community content. The Center will continue to analyse the platform\u2019s accumulated viewing data and user feedback to identify public interest in stories, businesses and experiential content across different districts. We will also optimise content presentation and publication schedules in line with the characteristics of each platform, enhancing the use of text, images, short videos and interactive elements. This will serve as a reference for future content management, event planning and district development initiatives, thereby further improving the effectiveness of our external communications.<\/p>\n\n

The District Development Center aims to continuously enhance the transparency of information through the coordinated use of its website and social media platforms, providing organisations, businesses and residents interested in participating in the district\u2019s development with more convenient and comprehensive information.
