As important platforms for annual work planning and exchange, the two meetings focused on introducing the Center\u2019s 2026 work plan and gathering views from advisors and committee members on topics such as the direction of district advancement, cross-departmental collaboration, resource integration, and publicity and promotion, laying the groundwork for the orderly implementation of follow-up work.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ddcmacao.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/&#x8857;&#x7E3D;&#x7406;&#x4E8B;&#x9577;&#x9673;&#x5BB6;&#x826F;&#x8B1B;&#x89E3;PPT-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1282\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p>At the meeting, Chan Ka Leong, chairman of the board of directors of the General Union of Neighbourhood Associations of Macau, said in his opening remarks that the District Development Center is an important platform established to align with the SAR Government\u2019s new model of \u201cgovernment oversight and coordination, resource investment by integrated resort enterprises, and planning and implementation by civil society.\u201d It will integrate resources from the government, integrated resort enterprises, community organizations, and small and medium-sized enterprises to promote coordinated district development, build community commercial areas that combine economic vitality with local character, and encourage the Advisory Panel and the Steering Committee to actively offer suggestions so as to deepen the effectiveness of community economic development.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ddcmacao.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/&#x4E2D;&#x5FC3;&#x7E3D;&#x76E3;&#x6797;&#x5C0F;&#x96EF;&#x8B1B;&#x89E3;PPT-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1281\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p>Lam Siu Man, director of the District Development Center, introduced the Center\u2019s operations and its 2026 work plan, covering key areas such as district cooperation plans, commercial tenancy, signature events, connectivity and beautification, guided tours, and promotion. She also explained that the Center is positioned as a professional platform, with functions including research and planning, project planning, resource integration, and brand promotion.<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ddcmacao.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/&#x9867;&#x554F;&#x6703;&#x8B70;&#x82B1;&#x7D6E;-1-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1285\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ddcmacao.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/&#x6307;&#x59D4;&#x6703;&#x8B70;&#x82B1;&#x7D6E;-1-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1286\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<p>At the Advisory Panel meeting and the Steering Committee meeting, participants exchanged views on the advancement of annual work and the direction of district development, focusing on event planning and market positioning, the shaping of district\u7279\u8272, and cross-district collaboration. They also put forward suggestions on issues including KPIs and data indicators, site selection and coordination with surrounding areas, investment promotion and tenant attraction, cultural heritage protection, venue application procedures, transport, pedestrian access and wayfinding systems, as well as publicity and promotion. Participants generally agreed that the work should be advanced on the basis of data, with supporting facilities further improved, regional connectivity strengthened, and both homogenization and the \u201cisland effect\u201d avoided. They also noted that cross-departmental collaboration should be used to enhance the overall attractiveness of the districts and the vitality of the community economy, while at the same time taking into account residents\u2019 sense of benefit.<\/p>\n\n<p>The District Development Center will consolidate the views of the Advisory Panel and the Steering Committee, and continue to strengthen cross-sector collaboration and resource integration while advancing various projects in an orderly manner in accordance with the annual work plan. On the premise of safeguarding residents\u2019 quality of life, it will promote the shaping of district\u7279\u8272, improve wayfinding and transport support facilities, strengthen publicity outreach and route connectivity, and foster coordinated development among the districts, injecting diverse vitality into the community.<\/p>\n\n<p>Both meetings were chaired by Chan Ka Leong, chairman of the board of directors of the General Union of Neighbourhood Associations of Macau.
